Gohouen's Calligraphy

"After revelation (in Kuta Beach, 1996), I made a decision to express only Kami (God) through calligraphy, until I die.

So when I write calligraphy simbol for God, each shape is different, but the meaning remains the same.

I realized that Kami (which means 'universal God') is one for all, and that expressing 'Kami'/divine through my art is my personal mission."

Gohouen's Kakejiku (Scrolls)

"My Kakejiku art aims to express the harmony, and transcend the borders between the countries, races, colors ,generations, and religions…since, after all, everything becomes from nothing, and vanishes into nothing.

Normally, Japanese mounting is bound by traditional rules, but I'm trying to transcend that in order to make this art universal."

Purpose of life

"Who am I?

Why do I exist?

Why am I going to vanish?

Where did I come from?

Where will I go at last?

I'm seeking the deep truth and answers to such philosophical questions."
